Terms Of Service

  1. Magnificent Movers reserves the right to refuse service to anyone.

  2. Magnificent Movers offers two types of moves, Traditional Move (Labor only) & Full Service (Labor & Truck).

     For Traditional Moves, Magnificent Movers requires deposit in full, for time reserved.
    1. Magnificent Movers Traditional Moving services is strictly loading and or unloading, labor only. Magnificent Moves, can provide a truck on full service moves. For traditional moves, Magnificent Movers has a limited operating radius of 50 miles from 300 East Esplanade Drive, Oxnard, CA 93036. If Magnificent Movers provides traditional move services outside of our 50 mile radius Magnificent Movers reserves the right to bill for travel time in accordance with the corresponding package being purchased by the customer. 
    2. For Full Service Moves, Magnificent Movers requires 50% deposit of the Moving Quote total, upon booking & the remaining 50% upon completion of the move.
    3. Magnificent Movers Traditional Moving services is strictly loading and or unloading, labor only. Magnificent Movers, Inc DOES NOT OFFER PACKING SERVICES, Magnificent Movers, Inc can provide a truck on full service moves.

  4. Labor only package rates listed under “Book Your Move” tab. Billing for both Labor only packages & Full Services goes by the hour, when entering the billing hour, Magnificent Movers, Inc bills for the full hour, Team Leaders will notify the customer when entering a new billing hour. 

  5. Full Service packages include labor cost & truck supply costs included in moving quote

  6. Cancellation Fee-Magnificent Movers, Inc reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee, 50% of the total bill if job is cancelled within 24 hours of the job start time.

  7. Late Booking Fee-Magnificent Movers, Inc reserves the right to add on a late booking fee for jobs booked with less than 48 hours notice of the job start time, jobs rescheduled more than three times, or jobs orders changed within 48 of job start time (switching from Labor to Full Service or Visa Versa). Late booking fee is 20% of the total bill added on.

  8. Children and animals should be safely out of the way during the loading/unloading process.    

  9.  The right is reserved by Magnificent Movers to repair or replace any damaged item(s). Movers liability for scratches, tears, cracks, and other surface blemishes, to and including but not limited to, wood, upholstery, leather and other household furniture shall be limited to 0.60 cents per pound.

  10. The condition of any item(s) boxed by customer and not inspected prior to move are not insured by Magnificent Movers and is the responsibility of the customer.

  11. Items should be packed or wrapped and ready for loading/unloading. Any assistance in wrapping or packing is a courtesy of the movers and not insured by Magnificent Movers.

  12. Magnificent Movers, in no way, will be responsible for the working condition of electronic equipment, grandfather clocks, or any other piece of mechanical equipment. Damage to cabinets and surfaces of such equipment will be treated as stated in condition #4 above.

  13. Magnificent Movers will not be responsible for damage caused by non-routine moving including but not limited to, standing pieces on end, sharp turns, over-crowded work areas, difficult stairways, snags and sharp edges in work areas and doorways, handing over balconies, railings, etc., tight squeezes, and damage caused by

Magnificent Movers shall not be responsible for damage to accounts, bills, checks, evidence of debts, letters of credit, passports, tickets, documents, manuscripts, notes, mechanical drawings, securities, currency, money, bullion, precious stones, jewelry, or other similar valuables, paintings, statuary, or other works of art, or property carried gratuitously or as an accommodation. The process of removing drawers must be done given the customer’s consent.

  15. Magnificent Movers shall not be responsible for damage resulting when moving household items that have deteriorated such as but not limited to lamp shades, mattresses, electrical wiring, etc.

  16. Magnificent Movers shall not be responsible for glass in any form or damage resulting from glass breakage. This applies to porcelain and ceramic items, also.

  17. Magnificent Movers may use dollies to facilitate removal or placement of appliances and other large items. Damage that may result to floors, such as but not limited to, indentations, scuff marks, etc., are not the responsibility of Magnificent Movers.

  18. Magnificent Movers operates with a forty eight hour notice, any customers trying to schedule a move with less notice then forty eight hours, is subject to a twenty percent late booking fee.

  19. Magnificent Movers reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee of twenty dollars. Any move cancelled with less than forty eight hours notice may be subject to a cancellation fee up to fifty percent of the total bill.

  20. Magnificent Movers shall not be responsible for damage to water beds or any subsequent damage. We claim no expertise as water bed technicians.

  21. Magnificent Movers shall not be responsible for damage to items requiring special instructions if customer fails to provide such instructions including, but not limited to, dis-assembly or assembly of said items and any special preparation required.

  22. Magnificent Movers assumes no liability or responsibility for any items and cargo placed in the customer's own vehicle or rental equipment.

  23. Magnificent Movers will connect washer/dryer or ice makers, but is not responsible for the connections. You or your representative must check or accept any plumbing connections. Any assistance we give is as a courtesy only. Water and drain connections are the responsibility of the user.

  24. Magnificent Movers cannot be responsible for the working condition of major appliances

  25. Magnificent Movers cannot be responsible for dents or scratches on major appliances. They are covered by a thin metal that has an extreme affinity to dent and scratch.

  26. Magnificent Movers will not repair pressed board or simulated wood furniture. Much of the budget priced furniture today is made from a pressed wood or wood byproduct material with a photograph of wood grain attached. Some of the wood grain look is simply paper and some is very thin plastic material like on lower end kitchen cabinets. This type of material is not structurally strong, especially if it has screws, since the screw threads have no real grain to embed into, just crumbly pressed wood chips held together by a binding agent.
    It is not repairable and we have seen it crumble from the smallest vibrations riding in a truck across town. We will do our best to move it successfully for you, but are not responsible for damage.

  27. Magnificent Movers will not be liable to the customer, regardless of cause, for any damage to or loss of your property except that which occurs during our company’s performance of services to you. Magnificent Movers assumes liability to you (the Customer) for damage to your property and Household Goods which must be caused SOLELY by our company during active loading or unloading services. This does not include transit (during traditional [labor only] moves).
    Transit of household goods is out of our control, while we will load your goods properly, we cannot be held liable for any damages caused by the way a rental, freight, or container truck is driven. Insurance coverage consist of “Released Valuation,” mandated at $.60/lb per article. Damages must be reported to the movers prior to this company’s departure to be considered valid. Otherwise, damage claims will not be considered. In addition, customer agrees that under no circumstances is Magnificent Movers responsible for more than $0.60/lb per item for damages caused directly by its employees, contractors, licensee’s or affiliates. Furthermore, we reserve the right to verify all claims using any and all reasonable standards for verification purposes

  28. Please Note: Liability does not include damage due to acts of nature (rain, snow, water), or damage from slippery or sandy ramps or walkways, damage from liquids leaking from boxes, or damage to contents of drawers. We will not assume responsibility for the contents of any boxed goods packed by the customer or another company, or items in open boxes or boxes in which the bottom falls out. We assume no responsibility for any particle board furniture that has not been disassembled or Marble, glass table tops, plate-glass, and pictures unless properly crated. We are not responsible for damage to electronics unless there is damage to
    the outside of the item that we caused during the moving process.
